Flip flop sale 4-30

Tumbleweeds Gymnastics and Flip Flop Kids Shop hosts the kids consignment sale, today through May 4. They are joining with Carson Valley schools, churches and day care centers to raise funds to help fight childhood obesity.

Organizations can earn up to 70 percent of the proceeds from their items. Money raised will go toward children's physical fitness programs, sporting goods, field trips and nutritional education and snacks.

Tumbleweeds hopes the consignment sale will encourage parents and children to recycle toys, clothes and other children's items as a way to raise funds for their schools and other organizations. This not only helps families in hard economic times but also encourages families to lower the amount of consumerism.
