The Douglas High softball team made short work of Hug High in Reno Thursday afternoon, picking up a 17-4 win.
The Tigers scored the first nine runs of the game and capped things off with an eight-run seventh.
Stephanie Harper took the win in the circle, striking out seven and walking one, while senior Dorothy Sliva had a strikeout in one inning of work.
Sophomore Emily Weaver led the team by going 5-for-6 with three doubles and two RBIs.
Katrina Morgan had two doubles and two RBIs, Mackenzie Cauley drove in two runs, as did Rebecca Trute and Lauren Hoppe, Tara Paiement, Donna Judd and Sliva each drove in one.
