After winning the Big George Invitational Saturday on their home track, the Douglas High girls' track team put the finishing touches on a stellar regular season that saw two invitational wins and second-place finishes at two other invites.

On the boys' side, Douglas picked up wins in the 4x800 and the 800 with Derrick Jenkins on its way to a sixth-place team finish.

Douglas will now head into the most critical part of the season, starting with regional trials Saturday at Damonte Ranch.

As far as tuneups went, things couldn't have gone much better on either side for the Tigers over the weekend.
