The man accused of being a paper-bag wearing bandit is scheduled to appear in district court this morning for a review hearing. Christopher Matthew Hamilton, 43, was to undergo a psychological evaluation before proceedings continue. Hamilton is accused of robbing the Minden AM/PM on June 23 while wearing a paper bag and wielding a chisel.

Early voting enters its last week today and will wrap up on Friday. So far 1,429 people have cast ballots early, according to the Clerk's Office. At the present pace, we'll see about 2,000 early voters at the end of the day.

I'm betting that Muller Lane is closed for construction today. Frehner's equipment is still hanging around and the road is not done, according to my windscreen survey on Saturday.

Today will be sunny and warm with the high predicted to be 93. The weather may get more interesting starting Tuesday with the chance of thunderstorms through Thursday. There's some precipitation associated with the storms, so let's hope we don't have a repeat of the June 20 cycle that set a large portion of California on fire.
