A kitchen fire has grounded the Taildragger Cafe for a short time this week.
The fire occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Monday. When firefighters arrived, they found the restaurant was full of smoke.
"We found a smoldering fire in the wipedown rags," Fire Investigator Terry Taylor said. "We aired out the building and they're cleaning up."
Firefighters from Minden, Genoa, Johnson Lane, Jacks Valley and Indian Hills responded to the blaze.
Taylor said the building suffered smoke damage. Inspectors are checking the hood system and electrical system. Once those are determined to be operating the health department will inspect.
Taylor estimated that the bar will open today and that the restaurant could be open as early as Thursday.
