Douglas County's chief source of gaming tax revenue saw a 24 percent income drop compared to the same month last year and a 3.9 percent decrease for the fiscal year, according to figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Monday.
The Stateline casinos pulled in $20.5 million in June to make a total of $319.6 million. That's 24 percent less than they reported in June of 2007.
Gaming revenues for Minden and Gardnerville are rolled into Carson City's total of $117.5 million for the year, down 4.1 percent. The June total of $9.7 million was down 5.5 percent from June 2007.
Statewide, casinos closed the fiscal year down 1.9 percent with a total win of $12.5 billion.
