Comedians Karen Rontowski and Adam Stone join host and producer Kat Simmons for a triple-header of laughs at Comedy Night Live at the Carson Valley Inn on Aug. 22.

Rontowski's clean observation comedy makes her perfect for any venue. She calls herself a baby boomer hippie who believes there is no time like the present to be living in the past.

Rontowski is a regular on the "Bob and Tom" morning radio show and can be seen on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen." She made her acting debut playing the lead role of Sue Burrow in the upcoming movie "Return To Sender." Rontowski received a standing ovation when she performed at the Minden Rotary Comedy Tribute to Administrative Professionals in 2002.

Stone's perspectives, witticism, and sometimes edgy impressions will draw you into his world of self-esteem deficiencies, idiosyncrasies, under-achievement and mistaken identity. He was a semi-finalist in two Sacramento and Reno comedy competitions and a finalist in "Search for Stars."

The show is opened by comedy show host Simmons whose credits include performances in major comedy clubs and TV appearances on The Comedy Channel, "Comedy Nite" and "Candid Camera." She has performed with Tim Allen, Kenny Rogers and most recently with Kevin Nealon from "Saturday Night Live."

Valley resident Simmons has taught comedy classes at the Carson Valley Inn and gives her comedic approach to corporate training presentations.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Aug. 22. Tickets are $20 in advance at the Carson Valley Inn hotel desk. To order by phone, contact the Carson Valley Inn sales office at 783-6679 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. There is a $1 per ticket service fee for all phone orders. Tickets are $25 after Aug. 21.
