Crafters wanted for 4-H harvest festival

The Carson City/Storey County 4-H Council is accepting applications until Sept. 1 from crafters who produce handmade items and are interested in participating in the 4-H Harvest Festival, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 8, at the Fuji Park Exhibit Hall, 601 Old Clear Creek Road, Carson City.

The cost for a 10-by-10-foot booth space is $50, with space available on a first-signed-up, first-served basis. Proceeds from the event will help provide scholarships for 4-H youth graduating from Carson City and Storey County schools. 4-H is a youth leadership and development program of University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.

Crafters will set up 6-10 a.m. the day of the event. Some electrical hookups will be available for $20. Applications are due postmarked by Sept. 1. There will be an additional fee of $15 for applications submitted after that date, and late applications will be accepted on a first-submitted, first-served basis.
