$2,000 reward in case of slain dog

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Millie the dachshund on Aug. 5 has doubled to $2,000.

Resident Frank Logue is matching the reward Millie's owner, Ruhenstroth resident Jerry Spivey offered for information

Spivey said he found 8-year-old Millie in his front yard the day after she was shot. She appeared to have died instantly.

At the time he offered a $1,000 reward for information.

Anyone with information about the shooting of Jerry Spivey's dog may call Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigations at 782-9935.
