Mu Master and Xi Alpha Theta chapters' beginning day luncheon is Sunday in Minden.
The event will feature island-themed food and music, raffles and entertainment by the Silver Spirit All-Star Cheer Club of Minden.
Guests from Beta Sigma Phi Chapters in the Carson City Council and Carson Valley will attend the opening event for the 2008-09 sorority year.
