Lori Brooks and David Nelson plan to be married Sept. 6, 2008, at the pavilion in Bently's Ferris Park in Minden.
The bride-to-be is daughter of Robert Brooks and the late Jackie Brooks of Gardnerville and is employed by GI Consultants in Gardnerville.
The future groom, son of Patty Nelson of Gardnerville and Gary Nelson of Everette, Wash., is employed by Curtis & Sons Construction.
The couple both attended Douglas High School and plan to make their home in Gardnerville.
