Kudos July donations appreciated

The Carson Valley Community Food Closet received generous food and cash donations for the month of July. The food closet provides supplemental groceries to qualified families and individuals in need. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the local businesses, organizations and individuals for their contributions.

The following grocery donations were received (pounds): Rite Aid (187), St. Gall Catholic Church (260), Mike Smith (84), Douglas County Public Library (65), farmers market (322), Lynne (32), Russell's Mercantile (97), Unity Church (3), Douglas Transfer Station (66), Trucker -Soon Dooph Co. (11), ReMax (8), Ruhenstroth Volunteer Fire Department (25), Sertoma (109), Carson Valley United Methodist Church (70), Coventry Cross Episcopal Church (70) and University of Nevada, Reno, Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners (37).
