Nearly a year and a half after a Jan. 10, 2007, raid on his home, Thomas Murray is scheduled to be sentenced this morning for attempting to maintain a place where drugs are sold. Murray admitted the charge in December 2007 and agreed to sell his home at 2861 East Valley Road and turn $10,000 over to the Sheriff's Office in lieu of forfeiture. Murray faces five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Murray leads off a busy morning in court for District Judge Dave Gamble today.

Muller Lane is supposed to be closed today for roadwork. Work is continuing on Mono Avenue at 1st Street in Minden. Keep an eye out for the signs.

It's actually a little bit chilly out there this morning with the temperature at Minden hitting 49 degrees. The high temperature today is supposed to get up to 86 under sunny skies with a slight breeze. Then it's back in the broiler for the rest of the week, with highs in the mid-90s through Saturday.
