Tickets are available now for the 2008 Genoa Candy Dance dinner dance, 4-10 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Orchard House in Genoa.
Cost is $25 for adults, $12 for children 12 and younger and $15 for dance-only tickets. All dinner dance tickets will be sold in advance and are non-refundable. Deadline to purchase dinner dance tickets is Sept. 22.
Tickets may be purchased at the Genoa Town Office, The Dancing Deer, Tahoe Ridge Winery, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center.

Doors open for the dinner dance and no-host bar at 4 p.m. with dinner starting at 5 p.m. Dinner is catered by Mom and Pops Catering of Carson City and includes barbecued beef and chicken, au gratin potatoes, coleslaw and dessert. Beer, wine and soft drinks available at the no-host bar. Live music by the Dealer's Choice band, which specializes in country, classic rock and pop dance music.
The Town of Genoa is seeking amateur or semi-professional singers, musicians, actors, storytellers, poets, dancers, puppeteers and other live performers to volunteer their talents during the Candy Dance Faire on the new performance platform in Genoa Town Park. Acts will be scheduled from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28 and faire guests will have the opportunity to select their favorite performers with the crowd favorite announced after 3 p.m. Sept. 28.

The Genoa Candy Dance Art and Crafts Faire is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28. Parking in designated lots is $5 per vehicle. Free shuttle buses available from designated parking lots.
