There's the possibility we could be looking at snow early next week, thanks to a storm forecast to arrive and stick around for a little bit this weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting that the front will arrive Saturday with a little bit of moisture. However, their models are showing the storm could hang around until early Tuesday, bringing snow over a couple of days. We'll see. Expect the winds to pick up on Friday.

Tonight the U.S. Forest Service wraps up its road show in Smith with an open house showing where people will be allowed to travel on the Bridgeport Ranger District. The open house is 6-8 p.m. at Smith Valley School.

Planning commissioners approved a special use permit for an electrical substation in northern Carson Valley on Tuesday. There wasn't much in the way of public comment.
