Looking for that perfect gift for the golfer in your life? The Carson Valley Golf Course is doing its part to help you complete your shopping list hassle-free, and you'll get the added bonus of supporting one of our local businesses.
The pro shop features a wide variety of men's and ladies apparel, shoes, golf clubs, bags and balls. There's still time to add a unique touch with a personalized monogram on the golf balls or bags.
All of their 2008 rental sets are being liquidated, which is a great way to get a full set of clubs at a significant savings. Gift certificates and lesson packages are available, and the pros at the shop can even custom fit a new set of clubs.
Season passes go on sale Dec. 15 at 8 a.m. There is limited availability and they sell out each year, so be sure to get there early and take advantage of this deal.
Holiday shopping hours at the pro shop are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. The golf course is located at 1027 Riverview Drive in the Ranchos.

Holiday wishes
I hope you find time during the busy-ness of the holiday season to slow down and savor the delights that this time of year has to offer. Take a drive to admire the wonderful light displays in town and in your own neighborhood. Sit with a loved one next to a crackling fire. Curl up with a good book and a steaming mug of hot tea or cocoa. Start a list on the things that you are grateful for in this life. Breathe.
May you be blessed with the true gifts of Christmas.
