MINDEN

Carson Valley Inn entertainment

The Robeys appear through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

Buford and Shirley Robey have performing together since 1986 and play rock 'n' roll favorites, oldies, top 40, blues, jazz, reggae and country songs from the 1930s to present. With their extensive repertoire, The Robeys enjoy answering requests to play a little something for everyone.

Mack & Tom take the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and play until Dec. 21. Mack & Tom play classic rock 'n' roll from the '50s through the '80s plus contemporary tunes. The group is Bruce McCormack on keyboards and vocals and Tom Dickson on guitar and vocals. The two artists have played together for more than 10 years, many as part of the backup band for Louie Fontaine and The Rockets.

n Monday Night Football features sports viewing on giant plasma screens, draft beer and snack specials and drawings for prizes.

Home ranch tours

A special exhibit of antique toys, Christmas cards and holiday decorations will be on display at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park, 1-5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Concert series begins today

The Carson Valley Arts Council 2008-09 concert series begins with Celtic guitarist Tony McManus, 7 p.m. tonight at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda Ave., Minden. Christmas concert

Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church presents "The Music of Christmas," 2 p.m. Sunday, at the church, 3680 Highway 395, north of Jacks Valley Road. 'Babes in Toyland'

Carson Performing Arts Capitol Stars and BACStage Kids present "Babes in Toyland" at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 West King St., Carson City. The holiday musical is performed 7 p.m. today and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Holiday on Ice

The Tahoe Figure Skating Club hosts Christmas Holiday on Ice, 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, at the South Tahoe Ice Arena, 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Figure skaters dance to holiday music classics and there will be performances by Tahoe Elementary Honor Choir, Tahoe Skate School and South Tahoe Area Hockey League.
