Vehicle burglars raid Ranchos street

Douglas County deputies are investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred Wednesday night on Victoria Drive.

Vehicles located in the 1300 block of the Gardnerville Ranchos street were reportedly entered during the night, residents told deputies on Thursday morning.

A woman's purse was among the items taken by thieves, who entered as many as seven cars along the street.

Douglas County Sheriff's Sgt. Jim Halsey reminded residents to remember to lock their vehicles.
