Expect another storm to roll in on Thursday with the snow beginning at about 10 a.m. in the morning and continuing through Friday, with the possibility of another couple of inches of snow. The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures will be even colder than they are now by the end of the week, with low bouncing off the 0 mark on Friday night.
Most of the road controls around Douglas County are gone, with the exception of Kingsbury Grade. Both Interstate 80 and Highway 50 over the Sierra are clear with no controls. Highway 88 across Carson Pass is requiring chains and snow tires. Highway 338 from Smith to Bridgeport is still requiring snow tires or chains.
The temperature in Minden now is 4 degrees, it's 7 degrees in Genoa and 10 degrees in the Gardnerville Ranchos. There's no wind to speak of and skies are clear.
The Indian Hills General Improvement District bid farewell to trustee Kathryn Clark Ross on Monday night. Kathryn served the district for two years after she was elected to a short term in 2006.
