Eight members of the Carson Valley FFA competed at a national competition in Indianapolis on Oct. 21- 25.

The horse evaluation team received a bronze emblem, Justin Cowden received a individual silver emblem and Megan Done, Brittany Evans and Lenna Fagan received bronze emblems.

The participants evaluated eight classes of horses composed of performance and halter events. They also gave oral reasons for their placings of each class.

The dairy cattle evaluation team received a silver emblem. Kendra Robinson received a gold emblem, Michelle Gibbons and Brian Hoskin received silver emblems, while Kate Schnoor received bronze.

The students evaluated six classes of dairy cows, giving oral reasons on their placing for two classes. The students had to evaluate pedigrees, and a complicated linear evaluation for five classes of cows.

The Carson Valley FFA is proud of its members representing the state of Nevada at the national level.
