Elves needed to wrap presents

Authors interested in participating in the Douglas County Public Library's gathering of authors at 2-4 p.m. Feb. 7 should contact the library by today.

Bingo Knights

The Knights of Columbus bingo session today is dedicated to the Breast Cancer Resource Center at Carson Valley Medical Center.

Doors open at 6 p.m., play starts at 7 p.m. at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Blackout bonus is $1,199. Food and drinks available for purchase. Knights provide popcorn, coffee and snacks. Information, Chuck Ripoli, 265-6132.


DAWG adoption event Saturday

Christmas dinner

St. Gall Catholic Church's 10th annual Noel Christmas dinner for those without family is 1-4 p.m. Dec. 25 at the church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

Anyone without family on Christmas is invited to Christmas dinner, socializing, gift exchange and dessert. Transportation is available.

Young Chautauqua

An informational meeting for the Douglas County Historical Society Young Chautauqua program is 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

GED classes

Douglas County School District's ongoing GED and adult diploma preparation classes are 5-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Douglas High School when school is in session.
