The R-C Morning Report

It's snowing and blowing outside this morning. There's about an inch on the ground on the west side of the Valley, but it's hard to tell how much fell because it's drifting. Expect the snow to continue until 10 a.m. It's 32 degrees out now, so we're nearly at the predicted high temperature of 38.

So far, the only road controls in the Valley are on Kingsbury Grade, but be careful because that blowing snow is going to mess with visibility. Chains or snow tires are also required above Woodfords on Highway 88.

A Carson City woman who admitted to stealing copper from a Gardnerville home store is scheduled to be sentenced in district court this morning. Cara Sutton, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary on Nov. 10 in connection with the incident that occurred on July 15.
