Register by Jan. 9 to have a chance to see state lawmakers at work during Douglas County 4-H-sponsored Capital Days, March 1-2 in Carson City.

Capital Days is open to youth ages 13-19, who don't have to be 4-H members to participate. The $50 fee includes meals and activities. Registration packets available at the Douglas County 4-H office, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.

Participants tour public offices and historical sites and talk with government officials, who may include the governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer and members of the Nevada Legislature.
