Learn how to preserve family memories at a memoirs writing class offered by Douglas County Senior Services in association with Western Nevada College instructor Katherine Weaver. No writing experience necessary and all ages are welcome.
The six-week class is 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Feb. 19 and continues through March 11 at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. Class fee, $75.
Weaver is a graduate of Regents College in New York and the University of Nevada, Reno. She has 25 years writing experience and is published in poetry, children's books and short stories. Information at the senior center, 783-6455.
