Spring Fling benefit for Austin's House is Friday

About two dozen tickets are left for the Spring Fling dinner and dance fundraiser for Austin's House Carson Valley Children's Center. The gala event begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the banquet pavilion of the Genoa Lakes Golf Club and Resort.

Attire is semiformal with black tie optional for an evening of food, entertainment, dancing and live and silent auctions.


No-host bar at 5:30 p.m., four-course dinner at 6:30 p.m. with a choice of three entrées: prime rib, chicken Angelo or vegetarian pasta with salad, potato, vegetable and dessert.

The Spring Fling fundraiser features live big band music by 16-piece Reno Big Swing Band.


Live and silent auction items include a private gourmet six-course dinner with wine for 10 people by executive chef Valter Montanari in the Library Room at Antoci's Restaurant, jewelry, furs, hotel nights, Lake Tahoe cruises and golf packages.

Tickets are $50 each. Proceeds from the Spring Fling Dinner and Dance benefit the nonprofit Carson Valley Children's Center, Austin's House.
