The R-C Morning Report

It's going to be a long day for Douglas County School Board trustees who are dealing with a triple threat of issues at their regular meeting, including a report on radon at Zephyr Cove Elementary School, whether to pursue a school bond and administrative salary schedules. The last agenda item has a 9:20 p.m. time. The meeting starts at 3:30 p.m. at the Douglas High School Media Center in Minden.

Douglas County planning commissioners meet 9:30 a.m. today for a presentation from Sue Donaldson of the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension on low-impact development and water quality. Then they'll break and meet again at 1 p.m. to hear their regular agenda.

I'd be crowing about the temperature cracking 60 degrees for the first time in a while, but Stan Kapler said that already happened on Sunday. There may be some isolated showers tonight which will lead to a cool-down with highs Wednesday lowering back into the 40s.
