A Florida man was identified as the man killed in a two-vehicle head-on accident on Highway 395 at Ray May Way on Wednesday afternoon.
Thomas Riley Overlay, 50, lives in Spring Hill, Fla., was a passenger in a northbound sport utility vehicle driven by his sister, Jeannie Hawkins, 39, of Bishop, Calif.
The accident occurred when Hawkins allegedly tried to avoid an animal on the road and collided with an oncoming car driven by Maricela Madrigal-DeLopez, 38, of Topaz Ranch Estates.
