The ninth annual Feast of Chocolate is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Nevada State Library & Archives in Carson City.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.
The event is presented by the Capital Branch of the American Association of University Women, which includes many Carson Valley residents, according to Minden resident Linda Sekiguchi.
For the ticket price, participants may eat all the chocolate they can as a Celtic harpist plays background music, Sekiguchi said.
"We concentrate on giving scholarships to women at Western Nevada College at this juncture," she said. "One of our recipients this past year is from Minden."
In addition to Sekiguchi, the majorityof the organization's officers reside in the Valley including, Co-president Janet Beach, co-president Carolyn Emr, co-membership vice president Doris Bennett, co-membership vice president Jo Greenslate and secretary Fay Heldoorn.
