At the February dinner meeting of the International Footprint Association, Mike Archer, author of "A Patch Of Ground," spoke and showed slides of his return trip to Vietnam.

The presentation was held at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.

Archer and former Douglas County Sheriff's Capt. Steve Orr served at the battle of Khe Sanh in Vietnam and the two of them made the return trip together.

Orr travelled from Lewiston, Idaho, to attend.

During the meeting the Footprinters presented a special recognition award to Carson City Fire Department firefighter and paramedic John Easterling.
