The fourth annual Little Miss Douglas County pageant for girls up to 17 years was Feb. 15 at the Dance Workshop Performing Arts Center in Minden. Emcees for the pageant were Raechel Prosser, Nevada's Outstanding Teen 2006 and Aleesah Herup, Teen Miss Douglas County, 2007.
Outgoing 2007 winners, Meleeah McKeon, Carli Gumm, Amy Rice and Mallory Seidlitz performed and helped with coronations. Contestants ages 7 and older competed in an interview competition and contestants 2-5 years competed for the titles of Baby Miss and Wee Miss Douglas County.
Winners were crowned and were presented with tiaras and princess wands. After interviews, the older girls competed in party dress modeling and talent competitions. The girls will represent Miss Douglas and Carson Valley in the Carson Valley Days parade in June.
