The Douglas boys' basketball team picked up a 67-52 win at Damonte Ranch Tuesday night.

The win bumped the Tigers up to 2-0 in Sierra League play after a 10-day layoff following the Clovis Elks Classic after Christmas.

Against Damonte Ranch, Douglas had a strong night at the free-throw line, going 22-of-26 as a team.

Jeff Nady led the Tigers with 22 points and James McLaughlin and David Laird each had 12.

"Defensively, our goal is always to hold the other team under 50," Douglas coach Corey Thacker said. "Obviously, that's one of those things we still need to work on, but we're getting closer. There's always stuff to work on."

The Douglas girls' team also picked up a big win against the Mustangs Tuesday night.
