Evans and Honer wed in San Diego

Mary Evans, formerly from Redmond, Wash., and Rob Honer, formerly from Gardnerville, were married in a traditional ceremony, Aug. 4, 2007, by Pastor Gary McCartie at the North Chapel in San Diego.

The bride, daughter of Debby and Jerry Evans of Redmond, Wash., was attended by her sisters, maid of honor Sarah Evans and matron of honor Rachel Jenkins. Other attendants were school friends, Jennifer Anderson, Achelle Dunaway, Jerianne Forbis, Melissa Peterson and Julie Straw. Andrea Honer, sister of the groom, was the ring attendant.


The groom, son of Julie and Bob Honer of Gardnerville, was attended by his brother, best man Chris Honer. Other gentleman attendants were college and high school friends, Terry Blanco, Lt. j.g. Gieorag Andrews, Nate Regehr, Drew Sense and Brett Whiteman.

A wedding dinner-reception followed the ceremony at Tom Ham's Lighthouse Restaurant on Harbor Island, San Diego, with 180 guests attending.


The bride is a 2001 high school graduate and a 2005 Point Loma Nazarene University graduate. She works as a marketing coordinator.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Douglas High School in Minden and a 2005 graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University. He works as an acquisition project manager.


The couple honeymooned in Moorea, Bora Bora, and Tahiti before returning to their home in La Jolla, Calif.
