'Whistlestop' melodrama plays at museum

Get ready to cheer for the hero and boo the villain in the Douglas County Historical Society Players' production of the melodrama, "Whistlestop III, the Last of the Trilogy."

Tickets are still available for the 1 p.m. Sunday performance. Cost is $15 which includes a hot dog lunch provided by the Minden-Gardnerville Elks Lodge and entertainment by Partners in Harmony barbershop quartet.

Public viewing for a dress rehearsal of the melodrama is 5 p.m. Thursday for $5.

Tickets are on sale at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.
