Snowfall will increase in parts of Western Nevada tonight and continue into Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory indicating snowfall will begin 10 p.m. and last until 10 a.m. Thursday.
Accumulations of 4-8 inches of snow are expected west of Highway 395 above 5,000 feet.
The Weather Service is warning motorists that snow and ice will develop on bridges and overpasses as the storm continues.
Most Valley roads are currently free of restrictions, though chains or snow tires are being required over Kingsbury and Spooner.
