A pickup truck T-boned a Douglas County school bus at the intersection of Sanden and Clapham in Johnson Lane on Monday morning, according to officials at Douglas County School District.
"The truck either didn't stop or skidded through the intersection and hit the bus in the baggage compartment," said a district official.
According to reports, the damage was minor, and the bus was able to drop students off at Piñon Hills Elementary School.
One child was reported to have minor injuries, and was taken out of school by his mother.
Officials said the bus driver was not cited for the accident.
The bus was taken out of operation, and the district is now waiting for insurance claims to be processed.
