The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a report of an injury accident at Highway 88 and Dressler Lane at 6:49 p.m. It was one of three accidents to occur this evening in Carson Valley. The most recent is a property damage accident at the intersection of Kingsbury Grade and Foothill Road at 7:53 p.m. A property damage accident involving a government vehicle occurred at Highway 395 and Waterloo Lane at 6:29 p.m.
High winds and light snow conspired to create low visibility on the roads, particularly those east-west routes across the Valley during the evening commute. Even though a high-wind advisory has expired, the National Weather Service is warning motorists in high profile vehicles to watch out for sudden gusts and cross winds.
