A fifth-wheel trailer at a home on Kimmerling Road was the second recreational vehicle in Carson Valley to catch fire today. The fire was called out at about 3 p.m.
Firefighters from the Gardnerville Ranchos, Gardnerville, Fish Springs, Sheridan Acres and Ruhenstroth responded to the fire.
The fire destroyed the recreational vehicle but did not spread to the house or to surrounding brush. It resulted in Kimmerling being closed for a short time.
A fire earlier in the day on Stephanie Way also claimed a recreational vehicle.
An injury traffic accident blocked traffic on Kingsbury Grade at about 3 p.m.
