A couple of political deals going on today including the Sierra Nevada Republican Women, who will be hosting the primary candidates for commissioner at their lunch at Two Guys from Italy and the second half of the Sheriff's Protective Association's two-day candidates forum 6 p.m. at Carson Valley United Methodist Church.

If you're looking for me, I'll be at the airport master plan meeting from 1 to 5 p.m. at the CVIC Hall in Minden. There's just one item on the agenda and that's for commissioners to determine whether to forward the airport master plan draft final report to the Federal Aviation Administration and what to do with the Airport Layout Plan.

I knew it was too good to be true that it would cool a bit at the end of the week. Expect it to stay above 100 degrees through Friday. Heckfire, expect it through August. The smoke hasn't changed a lick. We may see thunderstorms on Friday and Friday night. Otherwise, it's just more of the same.

I failed to finish a sentence on the business teaser for Inside and Out. My apologies to anyone who is offended by it.
