A Carson City man stabbed his girlfriend's pet frog with a kitchen knife and stuck it to her wall following an argument this weekend, a Carson City police report said.
Victor Barrientes, 25, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. Saturday after his girlfriend, Tabitha Poe-Lushi, told the Carson City Sheriff's Department she found the frog and a note hanging on the wall of her Carson City home, according to the report.
"Tabitha said she returned and saw her pet frog impaled with a kitchen knife," the report said. "The frog was stuck to a wooden beam. Tabitha said there was another knife stuck to her wall with a letter stating, 'I Hate You.'"
He had broken a desk during the argument, the report said, and she had left out of fear.
She found the note and frog when she came back, according to the report.
Barrientes is charged with two misdemeanor crimes for killing the frog and breaking the desk.
"Victor was transported to Carson City jail," the report said. "Victor showed signs of being intoxicated."
Bail was set at $1,264.
