Tickets available for Taste of the Town

The Douglas County Historical Society's Taste of the Town fundraiser is 5-9 p.m. Aug. 2. Sample food from such Gardnerville restaurants as the Overland Hotel Basque Restaurant & Bar, J.T. Basque Bar & Dining Room, New Rancho Grande, Two Guys from Italy and Woodett's Diner.

Food from other restaurants and vendors will be available from booths in the parking lot of the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Area shops and boutiques are included on the tour.

Taste of the Town tickets are $20 and are available at the Main Street Bookstore inside the Gardnerville museum. Information, 782-2555.
