Flagpole work appreciated

June busy month at food closet

June was a very busy month for the Carson Valley Community Food Closet. The Wacky Waddlers Wiver Wace was a huge success thanks to the support of the community. The race was dedicated in honor of Carson Valley Food Closet Board Chairman, Jerry Northway who passed away the day before the race.

We especially wish to thank Ray Sidney of Big George Ventures for contributing the rubber ducks. A team of businesses were responsible for the sale of ducks: Scolari's, Candles & Crafts, Job's Peak Veterinary Hospital and Re/Max Realty. Prize contributors were: Carson Valley Golf Course, Sharkey's Casino, Tumbleweeds Gymnastics, Ironwood Cinemas and Bouquet & Bouquet Florist. Sincere thanks to everyone who purchased ducks to help those in need.
