The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team assisted agents of the US Customs Immigration Enforcement Agency in the arrest two local men Thursday for having illegally re-entered the United States.

Arrested were Juan Sepulveda-Leon, a 33 year old Hispanic male and Leopoldo Martinez-Ceniceros, a 47 year old Hispanic male.

Sepulveda-Leon had been arrested by the street enforcement team in 2004 for trafficking methamphetamine. He was subsequently convicted and deported. Martinez-Ceniceros had previously been deported for alien smuggling and DUI.

Street Enforcement Team investigators had developed information that the two men were living and working locally in Douglas County. They then contacted ICE with that information.

The ICE agents took the two suspects to Reno where they will face deportation hearings. While in Douglas County, the ICE agents also took with them three suspects that had been arrested by the street enforcement team on July 25 during a drug raid.

Those three suspects; Luis Ortega-Aguleria, Nicasio Ramirez-Bidana and Fabian Sanchez have been held in the DCSO Minden Jail Facility since their arrests on 7-25-08. These three will also be held in Reno pending deportation hearings.

While being lead out to the ICE van from the Minden Jail for transportation to Reno, one of the suspects told one of the DCSET investigators, "see you in a couple of months."
