School's out for Douglas County's elementary school students and darn near out for middle and high school students. Middle school students are wrapping up their finals today. While high school graduation is 5:30 tonight, Douglas High's last day is Monday to make up for the flood.
Today also marks the end of the trail for the Kingsbury Middle School Knights and the first time Douglas County has closed a school since earthquake regulations forced them to stop holding classes on Mono Avenue.
Today's Salute to Seniors continues a tradition for The Record-Courier that dates back to when Douglas High opened in 1916. Every spring we've listed the names of that year's class of Tigers, whether it has been 14 or 400.
I didn't need to see the windmills graphic on the Weather Service site to know that it's breezy out. The forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 74 degrees. Winds will be 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The graduates might need duct tape to keep their caps on today.
