The Douglas County School Board meets 3:30 p.m. today at Douglas High School. Radon concerns at Zephyr Cove Elementary School will top the agenda this afternoon, but the district will also be saying goodbye to more than three score employees.

Douglas County planning commissioners meet at 1 p.m. today in the Douglas County Administrative Building, 1616 Eighth St. Among the items on the agenda are an ordinance increasing the density for multiple family residential from 12 units per and acre to 25 and the new zoning, single-family residential, traditional, which allows for smaller setbacks than regular zoning. The ordinance change is to bring the county code in line with the master plan.

It will be sunny today, but breezy, with the winds at 10-15 mph and gusts of up to 20 degrees. The high will hit 77. We have a little cool-down coming Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
