Land trust accepts first donation

The Sierra Nevada Community Land Trust recently accepted its first donation toward providing housing for moderate income families in Carson Valley.

Roger Falcke and Greg Painter, owners of Park Place AM/PM, presented a check for $5,800 to the trust June 10 that will go toward the purchase of property by the land trust.

The nonprofit organization plans to purchase property, make any necessary repairs, and sell the residences to qualified applicants while retaining ownership of the land.
