The smoke from at least two California fires is pouring into the Valley according to the National Weather Service. The big one is the Indians Fire located on the Los Padres National Forest, which has burned 33,305 acres. The fire's only 30 percent contained so its smoke will be with us for awhile. There's also a fire burning near Chico, but it's 80 percent contained and should stop contributing to the smoke cloud pretty soon.

Arauza, 43, is scheduled to appear to establish a payment schedule to pay for her public defender and whatever fines the court imposed on her at her August 2005 sentencing.
