Ticket prices are $40 in advance and $45 at the door and can be purchased at info@sierranv2030.org or by calling (775) 691-3982. Proceeds benefit special needs children and their programs in Douglas County.
The women's club will partner with area stores showcasing clothing for men, women and children to suit every occasion. The event includes a silent auction and a raffle.
The club is looking for men, women and children models of all ages and sizes for the fashion show. Anyone interested is asked to contact Jacquie Manoukian at (775) 691-3982 or jacquie2030@hotmail.com.
Community projects and fundraisers are at the heart of the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club. Each woman in the club is between the ages of 20 and 39, and anyone is welcomed to join. The 20-30 clubs are in nine Nevada counties and donate thousands of dollars to their community in support of local charities and children's groups each year. Events such as the Fashion Show Extravaganza are staged for the benefit of children throughout the area.
"This is our biggest event of the year," said Active 20-30 Club President Jacquie Manoukian. "It's a lot of fun to organize and I feel it's our way of giving back to the community. Our club is about making our projects work for everyone."
Whether it's assisting with physically, mentally or socially challenged children, providing aid to youth groups, or participating at various fundraising events, members contribute to the community and its youth.
The club is looking for silent auction and raffle items to help support the event. For information or to join the club, go to www.sierranv2030.org.
