More than $14,000 was raised Feb. 24 at an ice cream social to benefit Douglas High School junior Cecilia Ristau.
The proceeds will be used to help Ristau with expenses incurred in the treatment of diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple autoimmune diseases.
Retired St. Gall Catholic Church pastor Father John J. Corona headed the committee that sponsored the event.
Committee members included Jack Stemplinger, Laurie Barnhill, Debbie Hergenrader, Shannon Mayes, Lisa and Becca Schwigert, Paula, Nicole and Louise Didero, Carrol Parkos and Annette Kangas.
