For Family Support Council, IBM continues to be a role model in their donation capability. One year they donated a server to Family Support Council. In 2007, IBM donated a Lenovo ThinkCentre PC to the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Department of the Family Support Council, thanks to a longtime supporter and Purple Ribbon Coalition member John Amundson. As a retired IBM employee, Amundson has been able to play a large role in the agency's ability to stay current with some of their computer equipment.

Thanks to IBM, the Domestic Violence Department is one computer closer to the upgrades that are necessary to effectively run the department and stay current with the everyday demands of clients and fellow professionals.

Among the tasks the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault department is responsible for are keeping monthly reports of attendance at Sexual Assault Response Team meetings, Domestic Violence Task Force team meetings and women's support groups.

The Family Support Council's Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Department in 2007 averaged 35.5 new Douglas County clients per month and for the year assisted a total of 427 clients. Out of those numbers 13 clients had either been sexually assaulted or had sexual assault concerns.
