A spaghetti fundraiser for Douglas High sophomore Julie Rodriguez is 5 to 8 p.m. April 12 at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
In December, Rodriguez received a new liver after liver failure left her in a coma.
She has spent the last four months at Stanford University relearning how to walk and talk.
Hike for Health event

The second annual Hike for Health celebration is 5:30-8 p.m. April 22 at the Genoa Town Hall.

Fundraiser for Meneley Elementary School
The Meneley Elementary Playground Committee and Parent Teacher Organization are hosting Scrappin' 4 Slides, a scrapbooking fundraiser for the school's playground equipment, 6 p.m. on April 25 at Holy Grounds Coffee House in Gardnerville.

The art of Douglas High School students will be on display 6 to 9 p.m. April 30 for the school's annual spring art show.
